From the Master

While I am writing this bulletin article freezing rain is hitting the window behind me and every tree limb and power line is encrusted with ice. I hope by the time you read this the weather is much nicer.

I was extremely happy with the job all the officers did for our annual inspection. If you were not there you missed a great night in our lodge. I would like to send out a special thanks to the people who helped prepare and serve our inspection dinner. Dorothea, Chelsea, Beth, Nancy, Al and Johnnie along with our stewards who all did an absolutely wonderful job with the most important event of the evening. We had 16 Past Masters of our lodge in attendance which was truly wonderful. I was extremely proud of our officers for their 95% attendance for last year. In a lodge where a Friday night off is a rarity, this shows a remarkable commitment. I hope their commitment is contagious and more brethren show up on the sidelines. In a lodge that has so many positives from a full line of officers, many candidates, spectacular Fellow Craft Team and dedicated Past Masters, I wish more brethren would attend lodge. You are really missing out on what it means to be a Mason.

The work on our candidates will be on hold as April begins because of the Scottish Rite Reunion and Grand Master’s Reception. I will continue to make them the priority. We might have an actual candidate on our Fellow Craft Team practice April 18th. Some exciting upcoming events you may want to start making plans for is a trip to Columbus on June 21st for the Cornerstone Laying Reenactment and Parade, celebrating the Ohio Grand Lodge’s 200th year anniversary. If you would like to ride a bus down to the event, you obtain get ticket information through the Masters, Wardens and Deacons Association. Also our outdoor Lodge will be on June 28th. This was a great event last year and we are working hard to make it even better this year. Rich, Master
