February begins another busy month for William McKinley Lodge. On February 6th all elected officers as well as the Stewards need to be in the Secretary’s office. Have your updated code books, rituals and any officer’s manuals pertinent to your office with you.
By the time you read this we should have a couple of Fellow Craft brethren ready for their examination. We need to have one ready to raise on March 6th for the lodge inspection.
I need all of the line officers to be present at the Fellow Craft Team practice on February 20th as we all need to be as one team at inspection.
Clyde, Master
Old man winter shook his fist and sent some foul weather in our direction the last few weeks. If you don’t like the snow and ice, pray for a gloomy day on Monday, February 2nd. If old Punxsutawney Phil sticks his nose out and sees his shadow, you know what that means don’t you? Six more weeks of winter to deal with and that’s five weeks and six days more than we need. Also on February 14th you better plan on taking the better half out for dinner or the theater. Missing St. Valentine’s Day will land you in the dog house and it is guaranteed that your hat will not stay in the door after it is thrown. It’s best to play it safe and remember your lady on this important day.
Wednesday, February 25th, many will have a spot on their foreheads as they celebrate Ash Wednesday a significant religious time in the lives of many. Ash Wednesday being the first day of Lent and excluding Sundays, will mean it is forty days untill Easter. Bobel
