York Rite membership is open to all Symbolic (Blue) Lodge Masons who are in good standing and wish further enlightenment of the teachings of the first three degrees of Masonry by fulfilling the promise of the Master Mason Degree.
The petition is in three parts. Completing the petition automatically submits it to all three York Rite Bodies. The petition then goes to Canton Chapter No. 84, Royal Arch Masons and if elected, the petitioner is notified of the date for the conferral of the degrees of the Royal Arch. Upon completion of the Chapter Degrees, the petition passes to Canton Council No. 35, Royal & Select Masons and if elected the petitioner then receives the degrees conferred by the Council. Completing the work in Council, the petition passes to Canton Commandery No. 38 for election of the candidate, and if elected, the petitioner will receive the degrees of Commandery. Fees must accompany the petition at the time of submission for all three bodies.
Petitions are available from any York Rite Mason, officer or Secretary of the various York Rite Bodies. Their names appear on our DIRECTORY page as well as in The Masonic Bulletin.
